Travel Stories Collection is a collection of articles on travel and leisure curated by Yermia Riezky Santiago, or Eky. He is just an ordinary blogger who also manage his personal blog yermiariezky.com which contain his writings and photography portfolio.
Eky graduated with a degree in Environmental Geography of Gadjah Mada University. He is a freelance writer and journalist based in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. He started his writing and journalism career as a reporter at Femme, an entertainment magazine in Jakarta in 2011. On January 2012 he moved to Batam and join Batam Pos until May 2015. In the last two years working in that publication, he wrote articles for Batam Pos Magazine. During his time working at Batam Pos, Yermia won five writing competitions and became finalist or nominations on the other five competitions. He also has co-written three books.
Beside doing his works as a writer, he has a big passion for image. He went to Faculty of Geography in Gadjah Mada University because he felt in love with maps and National Geographic. He doesn’t do graphic design or drawing, so to enjoy his passion, he makes photographs.
He photographs everything he likes. Most photos he makes are on the streets and his backyard. He likes making photo of his personal life. He gets inspiration by read photo books and watches masters of photography on Youtube.
Yermia recently works as freelance photographer mostly submit his photographs to Alamy and several microstock agencies. He also works as freelance news translator for JPNN.com.
